Jordan 5 RetroEl Grito Sail - HF8833-100
The Air Jordan 5 Retro El Grito Sail is a striking tribute to Mexican independence. This special edition sneaker commemorates the El Grito de Dolores, the pivotal call for freedom in 1810. The design masterfully blends iconic Jordan Brand aesthetics with rich cultural symbolism.
Crafted with a sail leather upper, the shoe boasts intricate laser etching on the heel, tongue, and mudguard, showcasing culturally significant motifs. Custom “VIVA” lace tags and red and green lacelocks further enhance the celebratory design, echoing the colors of the Mexican flag. This attention to detail elevates the sneaker beyond a simple athletic shoe, transforming it into a wearable piece of art.
Built upon the foundation of the legendary Air Jordan 5, itself renowned for its innovative design and fighter jet-inspired midsole, this El Grito edition adds a layer of historical significance. The original Air Jordan 5, released in 1990 and designed by Tinker Hatfield, is a classic silhouette, and this release perfectly complements its legacy with a culturally relevant twist.
The Air Jordan 5 Retro El Grito Sail, released in September 2024, features a captivating sail, coconut milk, pine green, and dark pony colorway. It’s a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate culturally significant and historically rich designs. This limited release beautifully fuses the iconic Jordan Brand heritage with a powerful celebration of Mexican history and identity.
Best purchase ever! I got my shoes today and I already wrapped them for Christmas I really can’t believe this site is legit I highly recommend and would give a million stars if I could.
My great grandson loves those sneakers
Perfect!!!
Good looking shoes
Tough
Love tennis shoes
One of the best running shoes I’ve ever purchased.
Just getting back into running at 61 years of age after a 20 year break where I was mostly cycling.
I’m 40lbs over my peak running weight and this shoe has great cushioning for heavier runners and fits like a glove.
I wish Nike stuck with the Pegasus 4 rather than changing to the 5.
Maybe I’ll write them a letter.
Do you have them in black & white with the black soles
